Quite a versatile little bamboo! For us , if undisturbed it reaches a height of five to six feet on slender stems extending short narrow leaves almost at a right angle to the stem. Prune it as a low hedge, place it in a container or let it cover an embankment you will enjoy the pleasing lush, green texture. Although stolonifereous it is not invasive and can be easily confined should it try to usurp a larger growing area. Like most bamboos it requires warm summer rains or the equivalent in irrigation.
